During September 2008, CAS worked with several Massachusetts agricultural organizations to deliver risk management and crop insurance information to Massachusetts producers during the final month of the 2007-2008 USDA/RMA/CAS Targeted States Partnership to inform Massachusetts agricultural producers about Federal crop insurance programs.

CAS' efforts included direct-to-producer mailings for members of the Massachusetts Farm Bureau Federation (MFBF), the Massachusetts Aquaculture Association, and the Cape Cod Cranberry Growers Association.  Additional Massachusetts producers were reached through articles in several producer organizations' member newsletters. 

CAS' John Mangus and Ryan Mangus worked with the MFBF to coordinate and conduct crop insurance presentations at five producer meetings during September.  Finally CAS' Scott Crosby worked with the Massachusetts Future Farmers of America to reach a group of beginning producers participating in the vocational agriculture program at Minuteman Regional High School in Lexington, MA.
