As part of two USDA Risk Management Agency Partnerships, Custom Ag Solutions is working to provide maple producers in five states with risk management information and tools to improve producers' production and marketing decisions.

Working with regional education and producer association partners, CAS is coordinating delivery of content and weather-related tools to maple producers in Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, New York, and Vermont.  A Michigan-based maple expert, Dr. Mel Koelling, is also making substantial contributions to the project.

Informational presentations will occur in January and February of 2008.  Maple producers can also obtain risk management information and tools on a new website, www.mapleriskmanagement.com.
