For 2007-2008, Custom Ag Solutions partnered with the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Risk Management Agency (RMA) on the following Risk Management Education (RME) and Research and Development (R&D) projects:
- Crop Insurance Education for Massachusetts Producers (MassAgRisk.com). For this project, CAS worked with the following organizational partners:
- Massachusetts FFA Association;
- Massachusetts Farm Bureau Federation;
- Northeast Farm Management Associates and UMass Extension;
- Cape Cod Cranberry Growers Association; and,
- Massachusetts Nursery and Landscape Association.
- Crop Insurance Education for Nevada Producers (NevadaAgRisk.com). For this project, CAS worked with the following organizational partners:
- Nevada Vocational Agriculture Teachers Association;
- Nevada Cattlemen's Association;
- RightRisk Education Team;
- Kansas State University, Department of Agricultural Economics; and,
- Nevada Farm Bureau.
- Livestock Risk Protection (LRP) Program Training for California Producers. CAS' project partners include the following organizations:
- California Cattlemen's Association;
- Kansas State University, Department of Agricultural Economics; and
- RightRisk Education Team.
- Clam Insurance Program Training and Risk Management Education for Eastern U.S. Producers. CAS' project partners include the following organizations:
- Cornell University, College of Agriculture;
- Massachusetts Aquaculture Association;
- Massachusetts Farm Bureau Federation;
- Massachusetts Maple Producers Association;
- Pennsylvania University, College of Agriculture;
- Northeast Fisheries Science Center/Milford Laboratory;

- Vermont Maple Sugar Makers' Association.
- Cherry Crop Insurance Program Training and Risk Management Education for Michigan Producers. CAS' project partners include the following organizations:
- Cherry Marketing Institute;
- Michigan Maple Syrup Association;
- Michigan Farm Bureau; and
- Michigan FFA Association.
- Livestock Risk Protection (LRP) Program Training for Idaho and Oregon Producers. CAS' project partners include the following organizations:
- Idaho Cattle Association;
- Idaho FFA Association;
- Idaho Wool Grower's Association;
- Kansas State University, Department of Agricultural Economics;
- Oregon Cattlemen's Association; and
- Oregon Sheep Growers Association.
- Risk Management Education for Michigan Christmas Tree Growers (ChristmasTreeRiskManagement.com). CAS' project partners include the following organizations:
- Dr. Melvin R. Koelling, Professor, Forest Extension, Physiology, Michigan State University; and,
- Michigan Christmas Tree Association.
- Risk Management Education for Wisconsin Christmas Tree Growers (ChristmasTreeRiskManagement.com). CAS' project partners include the following organizations:
- Dr. Melvin R. Koelling, Professor, Forest Extension, Physiology, Michigan State University; and,
- Wisconsin Christmas Tree Producers Association.
- Risk Management Education for North Carolina Christmas Tree Growers (ChristmasTreeRiskManagement.com). CAS' project partners include the following organizations:
- Dr. Melvin R. Koelling, Professor, Forest Extension, Physiology, Michigan State University; and,
- North Carolina Christmas Tree Association.
- Risk Management Education for Oregon and Washington Christmas Tree Growers (
ChristmasTreeRiskManagement.com). CAS' project partners include the following organizations:
- Dr. Melvin R. Koelling, Professor, Forest Extension, Physiology, Michigan State University; and,
- Oregon State University Extension Service and Chal Landgren.
- Research and Development of a Cattle Basis Risk Analysis Tool (CBRAT) and the BeefBasis.com website (BeefBasis.com). CAS' project partners include the following:
- Kansas State University's Kevin Dhuyvetter; and,
- Kansas State University's James Mintert.
- Development of LRP and AGR-Lite Decision Support Tools for Livestock Producers (AGR-Lite.com). Researchers from Kansas State University's Department of Agricultural Economics are partnered with CAS on this project.
During 2007, CAS also worked as a partner on the following USDA/RMA projects:
- Crop Insurance Education for Wyoming Producers (University of Wyoming Cooperative Extension);
- Crop Insurance Education for Utah Producers (Utah State University Extension);
- Research and Development of a Water Allocation Risk Analysis Tool (WARAT) (Kansas State University).
For 2007-2008, CAS remained a partner with Montana State University on a USDA Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Service (CSREES) Project to Quantify the Value of Recreational Amenities as a Means of Ecologically Sustaining Small and Medium-Sized Farm and Ranch Profitability (COVRA) (Montana and Wyoming).
During 2007-2008, CAS also engaged on numerous appraisal, feasibility, and valuation projects.
